.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 623 AM EST Sat Jan 24 2026
Some very patchy fog and low clouds will affect mainly the
southwest Florida terminals this morning, then VFR is expected for
all sites through the day. Higher confidence in fog/low clouds
for tonight into tomorrow morning.

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 132 AM EST Sat Jan 24 2026
As other parts of the country are dealing with hazardous winter
weather, we remain in a quiet pattern, with above average
temperatures as high pressure continues to dominate the pattern.
The main hazard the next couple of days will be the development
of fog. Sunday night a shift in the pattern arrives via a cold
front moving through the area. A few showers could be possible as
the front moves through. Gusty NW winds will build in behind the
front and will help to push down much colder air. By Tuesday, much
the of the area will dip back into the 20s (north) and 30s
(south). The cold temperatures stick around through the remainder
of the week as a reinforcing cold front moves through Wednesday
into Thursday.
&&
.MARINE...
Issued at 132 AM EST Sat Jan 24 2026
Quiet marine conditions continue today thanks to high pressure over
the area. Sea fog could develop Sunday especially along the nature
coast. A cold front moves over the waters Sunday bringing a line of
showers and possible thunderstorms. Behind the front, winds will
increase to advisory levels creating hazardous marine conditions,
especially Monday and Tuesday. Winds begin to diminish late Tuesday
into Wednesday and seas will gradually subside.
&&
.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 132 AM EST Sat Jan 24 2026
Fire weather concerns remain minimum through the weekend as RH
values remain above critical levels. A cold front moves through
Sunday night bringing a line of showers. Winds increase Sunday
ahead of the front and remain elevated into next week. RH values
will also drop below critical levels Tuesday and Wednesday.
